Meet Your Teacher

Meet Your Teacher

Iris has spent most of her adult life moving between two worlds; the fast-paced environment of a Big Four consulting firm and the grounding practice of yoga.

After four years, she left sustainability consulting to deepen that practice with a 200-hour Hatha & Vinyasa Teacher Training. What stayed with her was the insight that yoga is fundamentally about learning to return to balance and connection, not only when stepping away from a full, fast-paced life, but right in the middle of it.

A Balanced Collective is how she unites those two worlds, bringing balance where it's needed most.

Her Style

Trained in Vinyasa and Hatha, Iris builds flows that are accessible and grounding, with occasional balancing poses or more powerful movements when the moment calls for it.

She believes yoga can feel good for everybody, and brings that belief into practice through thoughtful cueing, careful adjustments, and props where needed. Injuries and limitations are part of the conversation, not an afterthought.

Each session is shaped by the time of day and the energy in the room. Breathwork and meditation are an integral part of every session.

By speaking both the language of the office and the language of the body, Iris knows how to meet people where they are, and how to make an hour of yoga feel like exactly what you didn't know you needed.
